It cannot be denied that all of us jumped on the football band wagon this year, and rightly so as it was great to see the county begin to punch its weight in that code.
However as a dual county, with greater success on the hurling front, we simply cannot ignore the hurling year.
For the first time in a few years the county completed a clean sweep of Ulster titles, as we collected the minor, U21 and senior titles. The county now have 142 Ulster hurling titles to their name, no mean feat as Antrim are faced with the same difficulty that all Ulster counties are faced with, isolation from the “traditional” hurling powers.
