Welcome to Club Aontroma

Message from Club Aontroma

Tomas McCann scores a goal v Donegal in Ulster ChamionshipAt last, it’s turning into a Saffron summer! The marvellous achievement of the senior footballers in reaching the first Ulster Final for the county in almost 40 years has created a real buzz in the county and in Antrim fans literally across the globe. Taken alongside the senior and minor hurlers retaining the Ulster titles, last weekend was one to remember.

We are planning a major fundraiser to assist in the training and preparation of our teams. Check back on the news section of this site for further details in the coming days. In the meantime the news section also has some colourful reminisces about Antrim’s glory days, past and present, as well as some near misses.

Welcome aboard the Antrim express. Who knows where it is going to end?

Welcome to the web site of Club Aontroma, the charitable body established to help promote Gaelic games and cultural activities in County Antrim.

This site is designed to give you a flavour of Club Aontroma and to encourage you to support our efforts. In visiting this site you are displaying an interest in the GAA in Antrim, that interest and passion for the GAA in Antrim is what has led us to establish Club Aontroma. Our friends and neighbours in Down, Derry, Armagh, Fermanagh & Tyrone have all sampled on the field success to one degree of another and we are not reluctant to say that our ultimate vision is that Antrim teams too will grace Croke Park in the near future. That is our vision.

In order to maximize the potential Antrim teams have to produce on field success in all codes and at all levels, their efforts need to be underpinned financially. Club Aontroma strives to ensure that whatever support is needed by our representative teams, their coaches and back up teams, can be provided. This takes money and this is where Club Aontroma comes in.

Click on the Support Club Aontroma page to see just how you can be part of the project to help bring success to Antrim.

Thanks for visiting and please read on!
